I just finished watching game two and let me tell you it was phenomenal. NJ played as if they were little girlies. The Toronto Raptors made a colossal statement lass night, to the NJ nets, and to the Nba. The league ought to take this lineup serious, this team will inevitably shine. On a personal note: I’ve never been so thrilled about any thing in my entire life, in terms of Sports. I mean look at me, I’m bloggin.. who would of thought? There are several reasons for the Raptor’s play off-like intensity amidst their first two games. One being that they had an opportune pre-season. Their very first game was against the Celtics, you can’t help but become sharp after an Atlantic division clash of Titans. Yes i said it..Even though they haven’t proved anything yet it’s fair to say that Boston are contenders this year due to their two all-star acquisitions, and are probably our biggest threat this season. Nothing will satisfy them more, then taking away our first ever Atlantic Division Title. Furthermore, we strolled into Europe and competed against various European teams, in which we have a reputation to defend as an Nba team, consequently the raps played those games seriously, dangerously, critically and fatally. They found their intensity in paticular games and followed through. This year’s team has so many components, it’s sort of unreal. We have a delightful mixture of Experience, World champions, Nba champions, young all stars, you get my drift. Besides the fact that the Raps havn’t won anything yet, in comparison, the best I can muster is the San Antonia Spurs. Exceptionally talented bench, incredibly selfless, and a pair of Stars who not only appreciate the other’s game, but take pleasure in watching the other flourish and develop. An example of this: Bargnani nailed back to back three’s in the second half against NJ, the second being awfully difficult, as the ball swooped through the basket, you can see Bosh as he commits to a series of celebrations and monstrous looking faces that read “yes big man!!..make it rain 3’s!!!!” This is chemistry, this is brotherhood, and from two men who came from two totally different parts of the world, its humbling to watch. Its an absolute joy to see this team mesh, finally, after 6 dismal seasons. Our next game is Sunday morning against Boston. This will be an enormous test for this squad, also it will give us hopefuls an improved analysis of this team’s ambitions.
It is understandable to predict a consecutive Atlantic Division Title. Maybe even Eastern conference winners, but do I dare predict Eastern Conference Champions!? This can possibly be the foundation of a Dynasty. Who knows? One thing we do know is that the sky is the limit for this team and only time will tell how far the Toronto Raptors will go.
