Bargs

My Goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We outplayed the defending champions, if we aren’t a good team then I don’t know what we are. Now I tend to ask myself why and how this battered Raptors force even contented Friday night. I think Bargani is finally coming around. He is getting starts which is contributing to the rise of his self-confidence. His decision making is improving, gradually, but it’s a start. Bargs is uncharacteristically grabbing boards, blocking shots, and giving an overall better effort on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he’s not settling for awkward jumpers and threes as much, instead he’s making it a priority to drive the ball, to actually dunk on people. I recognize he came from Europe and all, and their approach of play is much different then the North American style. I feel if not already, eventually he will start to enjoy dunking disgustingly. I feel better knowing he’s getting some fucking play time. Remember he is still a youngster, and he his personality traits are not loud and obnoxious, but quiet and withdrawn. So I’m guessing his recent struggles were caused by the minimal minutes given to step out on the court. It definitely affected his mind set and aptitude. Think about it, he drafts number one, has a killer rookie season, he expects to become an elite player in this league and would love to obtain a wealthy contract. Everything was going swell until he lost the starting position (which is cool because the team needed an experienced Big in Rasho at that point). Furthermore he’s given extremely low mintues in a period of ten games, apparently because of the lack of defensive efforts. So it’s no surprise he hit a rough patch and panicked a little bit. Be patient. Everyone I talk to is bashing him. Especially after losing agasint the Roy fellow and the Trail Blazers. Yes that hurt but you people must understand that he is not only adopting to the new game of basketball, but also the culture, style, society, and the way of life in North America. If you was in his position, you would of shit your pants by the end of every first quarter. Hopefully this summer he will dedicate a lot of his time to bulking up and generally creating a body similar to a Lebron James. Then maybe he can improve on his post up game. I’m just happy he is driving to the cup almost every game, and understands how that opens up the rest of his offensive package.
